We ask for your contact and payment details when making an online purchase. We use this information to process and check the status of your order, and send you an invoice. Without it, we're not able to  deliver the chocolate products you want to buy. Also, we use this information to contact you if, for example, we need to confirm delivery details of your order.

4. Newsletter

For those who subscribe, we may use your email address to send our newsletter with product details, current offers and other news. If you change your mind, no problem; you always have the option of withdrawing your permission at any time. Just click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the newsletter.

5. Surveys & Contests

We may request information from you via surveys or contests. If you choose to participate (i.e., this is completely your choice), we will ask for certain information such as name, shipping address, age, etc. This information is used to notify contest winners, award prizes, and for analyzing our website traffic for the purpose of improving your browsing experience on our website.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, Inc. Shopify provides us with an e-commerce platform that allows us to sell products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. Following completion, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

11. Third Party Services

In general, third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies with respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. 15. Cookies

Cookies are typically used by most, if not all, e-commerce merchants, including Roxy's Chocolate. A cookie is a piece of data. When you visit a website, the website sends the cookie to your computer. Your computer stores it in a file located inside your web browser. The purpose of cookies is to help the website keep track of your visits and activity. We use this information to continually improve and update our website, expand product offerings, and keep you informed about stuff you may like. Cookies we use

_session_id, unique token, sessional. Allows Shopify to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, etc).

_shopify_visit, no data held. Persistent for 30 minutes from the last visit. Used by our website provider’s internal stats tracker to record the number of visits.

_shopify_uniq, no data held. Expires midnight (relative to the visitor) of the next day. Counts the number of visits to a store by a single customer.
cart, unique token. Persistent for 2 weeks. Stores information about the contents of your cart.

_secure_session_id, unique token, sessional storefront_digest, unique token. Indefinite. If the you have a password, this is used to determine whether or not you have if the current visitor has access.

We’re always looking to grow and improve our products and our website. The result being that we may ask you for additional data and/or we may change the way we use your data. Also, there may be changes to the law that affects usage of your data. If we do implement material changes, we'll update our privacy policy.
